Cookie Policy
Last updated: 31 August 2026.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files saved by websites on your device. We also use similar browser technologies such as localStorage (e.g. to remember your cookie choice — it is not sent to our server).
2. Cookies we use
- Essential (technical). Remembering your cookie decision (localStorage).
- Analytics and marketing — with your consent. After you accept, we may add traffic-measurement tools. Currently the site runs no first-party tracking; this section will be updated when that changes.
- Affiliate partners’ cookies. Links to Booking.com and GetYourGuide lead to partner websites. If you click one, the partner may store its own cookies on your device (incl. marketing cookies used to attribute bookings). We have no access to them — they are governed by the partners’ privacy policies.
- Map. Map tiles are served by OpenFreeMap/OpenStreetMap; the map does not require cookies or track users.
3. Managing consent
On your first visit we show a banner with two choices: “Accept all” or
“Essential only”. The choice is stored in your browser’s localStorage
(key ttg-consent). To change it, delete that key for tripto.guide — the banner will
reappear. You can always delete or block cookies in your browser settings; blocking partners’
cookies does not break tripto.guide.
4. Legal basis
Essential cookies are used on the basis of legitimate interest (running the service); all others only after obtaining your consent (GDPR art. 6(1)(a)).
