Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern the use of the tripto.guide website. All tripto.guide features are free of charge; no goods or paid services are sold through tripto.guide. You can view, save and print these terms at any time.

Last updated: 20 October 2026

Article 1. Purpose and provider

These terms set out the conditions for using tripto.guide (the “Service”), provided by Bartosz Kołodziej, sole trader, Łubowo 127, 62-260 Łubowo, Poland (the “Operator”), and the rights and obligations of the Operator and users. Contact: [email protected].

These terms apply to everyone who uses the Service, with or without an account (“Users”). “User content” means reviews, correction suggestions and other content users write or send us.

Article 2. Services

tripto.guide is a travel portal with information about attractions in South Korea. Free of charge, we offer:

  • a catalogue, search, map, trip ideas and editorial articles — without an account,
  • saved places — in your browser without an account, across devices with an account,
  • a user account (registration and sign-in with email and password, an email link or a Google account),
  • attraction reviews for signed-in users (Article 6),
  • correction suggestions via the “Suggest a correction” form,
  • free audio guides played in your browser (no account or payment needed),
  • additional information such as weather forecasts (data: MET Norway) and links to third-party route planning.

There is no entitlement to any particular feature or to uninterrupted availability. We may change, extend or discontinue features and will tell you in good time about material changes affecting your account.

Article 3. Technical requirements

  • an internet-enabled device with an up-to-date browser with JavaScript enabled,
  • for an account, a valid email address or a Google account, and allowing necessary cookies.

Cookie Policy

Article 4. User account

  • The free account agreement is concluded on registration (including the first sign-in with Google or an email link) and runs for an indefinite period. Accounts are only for people aged 14 and over.
  • Keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account to the extent you are at fault.
  • You can delete your account at any time, free of charge and without giving reasons, by writing to [email protected] from the email address linked to the account. We delete it without undue delay, within 14 days at the latest.
  • We may terminate the agreement with 30 days’ notice, e.g. if the Service is discontinued. For serious or repeated breaches of these terms or the law we may suspend the account or terminate without notice and will give you reasons (Article 9).

Article 5. User obligations

Use the Service in accordance with the law and these terms. In particular, you must not:

  • post unlawful, offensive, discriminatory or violent content or content infringing personality rights,
  • post spam, advertising or links to other websites, or post content automatically,
  • infringe copyrights, trademarks or other third-party rights,
  • post false or misleading reviews (places you have not visited, paid reviews, reviews by owners, employees or competitors); reviews in exchange for a benefit are allowed only with clear disclosure,
  • publish other people’s personal data,
  • impersonate others, disrupt the Service, circumvent security measures or scrape content on a large scale.

Article 6. Reviews

  • Signed-in users can post one review per attraction (rating 1–5, text, optional month of visit) and later edit it or ask for it to be deleted.
  • Reviews appear under a pseudonym (e.g. “Traveller #1234”), without name or email address.
  • Before publication the text is checked automatically, among other things for links and prohibited content; after publication — particularly following a notice — we may review reviews and hide or remove those that break the rules.
  • We do not verify whether authors actually visited the attraction. Reviews reflect their authors’ opinions, not ours.
  • Reviews are shown newest first; the average rating is calculated from all published reviews. We do not remove reviews because of a low rating and accept no payment for publishing, removing or ordering reviews.
  • By posting, you grant us a free, non-exclusive, worldwide right to display, reproduce and make the review publicly available on the Service (including in translation or as excerpts). The right ends when the review is removed. You confirm that you hold the necessary rights to your content.

Article 7. Ranking of attractions

Lists of attractions (by province, city and category) are sorted primarily by popularity on the Service, with editorial adjustments (e.g. to avoid repeated similar photos or clusters from one city). Search results also consider how well they match the query; the map considers the visible area and selected filters.

We accept no payment for including an attraction or for its position in lists.

Article 8. Notices of illegal content

Anyone can report content they consider illegal or incompatible with these terms by email to [email protected]. Please include why the content is allegedly illegal, its exact location (URL and, if needed, an excerpt), your name and email address, and a statement that the information is accurate.

We confirm receipt (if an email address is given) and handle notices promptly and objectively; decisions are made by a human. We inform you of our decision and available redress. Where we suspect a criminal offence threatening the life or safety of persons, we inform the competent authorities.

Article 9. Moderation and appeals

Possible measures are withholding, hiding or removing content and, for serious or repeated breaches, suspending or deleting the account. Where we know their email address, affected users receive a statement of reasons (the measure, facts relied on, whether it followed a notice or our own initiative, whether automated means were used, the rule breached and available redress).

Within 14 days of being notified of a decision you can object by email to [email protected]; we decide within 14 days at the latest. Your right to go to court is unaffected.

Article 10. Accuracy of information and external links

Information on the Service (e.g. opening hours, admission prices, facilities, visitor rules, weather) is researched carefully but may change without our knowledge; we do not guarantee its accuracy, completeness or timeliness. Please check current details with the attraction’s operator before your visit.

The Service links to third-party websites whose content we do not control; their providers are responsible for it. If we become aware of infringements, we remove such links promptly.

We remove user content or disable access without undue delay once we become aware of a specific illegality. Access may be temporarily restricted for maintenance or faults; we keep interruptions as short as possible.

Article 11. Liability

As the Service is free of charge, we are liable without limitation only for intent and gross negligence and for injury to life, body or health; otherwise our liability is excluded to the extent permitted by law. Mandatory liability in favour of consumers remains unaffected.

Article 12. Intellectual property

Texts, design, software and other content of the Service are protected by copyright. Use beyond what the law permits requires our consent.

Some photos come from Wikimedia Commons and other sources under free licences (Creative Commons, KOGL); author and licence are credited with each photo. Map data: © OpenStreetMap contributors (ODbL).

Article 13. Enquiries and complaints

Please send enquiries and complaints about the Service to [email protected]. We usually reply within 14 days.

Article 14. Data protection

How we process personal data is explained in the Privacy Policy.

Privacy Policy

Article 15. Changes

We may change these terms for good reason, e.g. changes in the law, new or changed features or to prevent abuse. We announce changes on this page 7 days before they take effect (30 days for changes unfavourable to users) and inform account holders by email. If you do not agree, you can delete your account free of charge before then.

Article 16. Governing law and jurisdiction

Polish law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer protection rules of the country of your habitual residence (e.g. the Republic of Korea).

Consumers may bring proceedings in the courts of their place of residence.

If individual provisions are invalid, the remaining provisions remain unaffected. These terms apply from 20 October 2026. They are available in Korean and English; the Korean version prevails.
